Evie gasped as his steamy body rolled over her own. It was beyond hot in the Elms household, and they had it all to themselves. However, it wasn’t just them generating heat, it was also the lack of a cold breeze, a hot day of Spring, and the central air having broken down that very morning. As a final thrust made its way within her, Evie moaned out and tilted her head back, her body arching and her blond curls rolling back to lay just off the edge of the bed. He too, groaned out in pleasure, his arms extending out as his body did a final round, and felt a sudden jerk in his body as he climaxed.
It hadn’t taken much for them for them to fall in love, which was most likely why so many doubts had plagued her mind since they had been in this relationship. It had been just about 3 months to the day, and Evie, still so very attached to him, had found herself wedding an engagement ring. The lie to her parents had turned quickly into reality as they had realized they were purpose two rare people in the world who could understand the pressure of what their abilities could do. There were two others, but they seemed almost like changed people – Tokyo however, at the time they had last seen her, was bewildered and lost as she fought strongly to keep back tears and stay in search of her young kidnapped daughter.
She had discovered a sister, who was currently staying in the pool house, attached to the main living room of the West Wing of the home. It was large, and for a reason – her father had been a very intelligent scientist, having even won a Nobel Prize for some of biochemist work back in his younger years. Evie seemed to have fallen in his footsteps, though for a very different reason – her own ability to control nature and partial healing of others.
She knew that Alec had felt a strong guilt once again as Tokyo had been taken away. Apparently by this Phillipe, that they had yet to meet. Alec, by releasing such pleasure into Evie, had managed for as much as 15 minutes to not think about Tokyo, nor cry her name out instead of Evie’s. He loved her, but maybe what he had for Tokyo was a deeper connection – Evie didn’t know what it was, but she knew now that at least what he felt for her was true enough.
As he rolled over, his eyes closed and he drifted slowly off to sleep. His first blink of sleep for days.
