The Doctor's In

A woman entered Tokyo's room. She was asleep, having been knocked out by stomach pains hours earlier. She glanced around the room, noticing its condition. She had several men behind her, and her simple black suit said one thing about her ; senior partner.

The top buttons of her blouse were undone, and the unimpressed expression on her face said enough to make her men glance to one another. The new doctor assigned to Kyo's case entered the room.

"Can I help you Miss Oaks?" he asked, bowing his head politely.

She pushed him aside with one hand, then moved to the poor girl's chart.

"I thought we made it clear we were to keep her well. We need her." she said it simply, causing Kyo to stir gently in her bed.

"Kill him." she then said simply, and two of her men dissapeared down the hall with the screaming doctor.

At that moment, a nurse had run to Christian's room and alerted him of what was going on

Isla smiled to Kyo, then sat down on the side of her bed. She reached over, stroking her cheek gently.

"You poor thing. You've been through so much." she said, then pulled her hand back and snapped her fingers to one of her men.

"Why don't you get Miss Chasings here, a real meal." she said, turning her head to look at him.

"What would you like?" he asked politely, and Kyo's lips parted gently.

"Um..I.." she trailed off, and then he interrupted with a gentle voice.

"Roast Beef? Sheperd's Pie? A simple turkey sandwich?" he suggested, then smiled.

"You can make roast beef?" she then asked, having not tasted such deliciousness for weeks.

"Of course." he said, then slipped away and headed towards the restaurant part of the facility, usually for high 'guests' and associates.

Isla then looked back at her, bringing her fingers to her own lips, then pointed to Kyo.

"You're very special. It seems lower management made the mistake of thinking we were angry with you. We wanted to treat you well, as a guest, and you shall be from this moment on."

Her head nodded softly, and Kyo shifted a little in her bed. Apparently the serum was working somewhat, her stomach had grown a little in the last day.

"We won't be using any drugs on you. Just one, we're going to speed up your pregnancy a little, since it seems you're having trouble with the baby. He's a fire starter, which is why that doctor did what he did. However, I'll be your new physician."

She tapped her fingers onto her knee, then smiled warmly. Kyo glanced to the door, noticing Christian there, stumbling in it seemed, a bit out of breath.

"We need a favor Tokyo. You see, we need someone to freeze some shipments that we're bringing in to help people. I can make the testing stop entirely if you promise to fullfill a handful of small tasks, and future ones when needed.. and I can make sure you and that baby of yours are both healthy, and protected."

Kyo glanced to Christian, shifting a little more in her bed. Isla noticed how uncomfortable she was, then snapped her fingers again. Another man came forth with a bag, setting it on the chair and pulling a housecoat from it.

"Let's take a walk with Mr. Palais." Isla said, and then extended her hand out to help her out of the bed. Two more of her men stepped forth, gently slipping her from the covers in her weak state. One slide on some warm slippers onto her feet, the other the robe around her body. Isla removed the Iv's from her body herself, gently and carefully, then stepped towards Christian, whom she gently pushed out into the hallway.

"Rumor or Truth, is that child yours?" she asked simply, but without an answer, she could tell already it was truth.

"Well... I know this was unexpected, which is why we've been testing you. They went a little too far, and I offer my apologies. From now on, I'll be the attending physician for both you and Miss Chasings. Understand?"

Isla then smiled and motioned for him to help Kyo, who had some difficulties walking because of the pains she's been having in her stomach. Isla walked slowly in front of them.

"You can call me Isla or Dr. Oaks. Your choice. As long as you treat me fairly, I will do so to you. I will not lie to you and make everything here seem fine. Some of the things we do are not, some are illegal, frankly, it's not of your business.. Tokyo."

Isla came to a stop, turning around to face them both.

"Mr. Palais. I expect you to clear our your head and decide where you lie regarding this situation. I've read your files. You're brain waves have changed, and honestly.. it doesn't me too much except for the affection you're hiding for Miss Chasings. I could care less if you want to sneak into her room at night for a little quickie, or if you want to make love to her in the janitor's closet, or even just use her for your own pleasure. But please, make up your mind."

Isla was quite straight forward, beautiful and honest.

"Miss Chasings.." she said, then stepped a bit closer.

"We're going to rush your pregnancy until you're 7th month, which may only take weeks depending on how the serum works on you. After that, all goes naturally. You will attend lamaz classes, eating and stuff your face, as long as you gain the appropriate weight and do the right exercises. Your current nurse will stay with you. The company thinks she's done a marvelous job so far. She is the one that reported all the events going on, you owe her your life."

Isla glanced to Christian, smirking just a bit.

"I will remain in charge, you can remain second. You're very welcome to challenging me or questionning. I'll welcome it."

Isla snapped her fingers, her men stepping forward a little to surround them.

"These men, are Tokyo's personal guards and yours from now on. If anyone.. anyone challenges your authority or mine.. they will protect you." she said simply, then adjusted her jacket.

"Now, Mr Palais if you please take her to the restaurant in the opposite wing. I'm making you personally responsible for her."

Isla then turned, and walked off, obviously heading to take care of some other business regarding the 'case'.[/center]

A second needle was inserted into her stomach. This time, things were different. Isla had given her a temporary anesthetic, freezing her lower body before inserting the needle. She seemed more professional, more kind - she was management and knew what they wanted.

Within a week, Kyo had put on fourteen, healthy pounds, due to the extreme growth of the baby. She still had cramps, but a small amount of medication helped her with that, and bed rest. Isla had her eating 3 meals a day, plus snacks in between, as well as the necessary vitamins. All testing had been put on hold regarding her physically, but she was still forced to answer the mental questions and attend sessions with some of the scientists.

Week two, lead to some more weight. By the end of it, she was feeling awkward, and looked 4 months pregnant when she was only truly two. Another week passed and she was nearly at 6. The serum seemed to be working, and thankfully she hadn't had too many side effects except for the normal ones.

One day, out of nowhere she'd been forced over to a trash can where she vomited, Isla holding her hair back.

"This is the last shot." she'd told her several days earlier, and now Kyo was truly the size of a 7 month pregnant woman. She often felt the baby kicking, but he hadn't had any outbursts as of late. He too was absorbing the serum very well.

Today, they had the opportunity to see the sex of the baby. Christian was standing at the edge of the bed. Isla had insisted he be there.

She setup the ultrasound machine, helped her settle onto her back, and then applied the gel. She then began to search for the heart, which she found easily, and then showed the screen to them both.

"There's the heart. There's the head.. toes.. and.. that, right there.. indicates it's a boy." she said. Kyo, though things had been rushed, was very glad they were slowing down at this point. She shifted a little, having some trouble leaning up due to her size.

"That's.." she trailed off, then swallowed the small lump in her throat.

"That's your son." she said, taking a photo, then printed it out for her. Christian seemed uncomfortable, and Isla took note of it. He showed no signs of affection when she was around, or when Kyo was awake.

Though, during the evening, or during the night when he thought no one was watching, Kyo at times under several drugs to help her sleep, he would slip inside and touch gently at the warmth of her stomach. Isla would watch through the camera.

"If the baby's late, we aren't going to be doing a ceasarian. We want the child to be brought out naturally, which means, spicy foods, exercise and if need be.. sex." she said in Christian's direction.

She handed the photo to Christian, then cleaned off Kyo's stomach as she layed back.

"But nothing's going to be wrong with him right?" she asked, and Isla shook her head lightly.

"The development has been perfect so far." she comforted her, then nodded her head lightly. Kyo smiled in relief, then leaned back into the many pillows she had.

Isla glanced to Christian, watching as he stared over the photo, not sure how to react. She also watched him with Kyo when Isla forced him to spend time with her. He held her so tightly when she walked, nearly had a heart attack every time a needle was inserted into her, or if she showed signs of sickness, not to mention when Kyo injured herself at times with small objects or tripped. She had grown attached to him, even when he'd been in his cold state. He didn't seem to go a day without visiting her, or at least watching her.

Isla cleared her throat, then pulled down Kyo's shirt, removing her gloves.

"Christian, why don't you take her outside." she suggested, and his perked brow was enough to know he was about to question her.

"She needs fresh air doesn't she? I don't think she'll try to leave us."

Isla smiled, then headed out of the room. At first, Kyo was staying in what looked like a medical room, but then they had moved her closer to Christian's room. It was her own room, a warm, comfortable bed, and all the things she needed, not to mention the crib and accessories they had set into one of the corner's. It was relieving to know that she would keep her baby. It had made her cry, especially after her previous doctor mentioned her never seeing it.

Kyo shifted out of bed for now, then took Christian's arms as he helped her to her feet, her large belly in between them. She suddenly felt his hand slip, touching her stomach, and she leaned her head back slightly, almost bewildered he'd made such a move, but then she noticed he'd acted like it was a 'slip of the hand'.
