When : 2 am, June 27th
Where : Hotel in Kiev
There was two of them, so young and full of life. Unknown to the world and the world unaware of their abilities. This night, as Sean slept peacefully at her side, Lauren was not.
Her body turned, sweat dripping down her forehead and body. It was one of those nights, one of the few, though one of the painful. She groaned out in her sleep, waking Sean. They were in Kiev, and by her sudden movements, something would be affecting them soon.
Her eyeballs moved quickly beneath her lids, while her hands gripped tightly at the sheets and her pillow. Lauren was having a nightmare, which in the morning, when she woke would be a premonition.
She suddenly let out a scream, and her left arm shot up, hitting and knocking over the lamp on the night stand. It luckily fell onto the carpet aside, but as her arm hit the heavy old fashioned telephone, it smashed.
Sean's arms reached out, wrapping around her, pulling her into his arms.
"Lauren you gotta wake up." he said loudly to her, brushing her hair from her face. Her body was hot, almost like a burning log in a fire.
A blond figure ran across from her, it was like watching a very blurry fight through a broken and fogged film lens. There was electricity, but no poles nearby crashing down. The blond hit the wall, and Lauren received a close up of her bloody face, bruises covering her body. Alec, get out of here!
A man suddenly appeared in front of her. She pushed him away, and the wall behind her began to crumble as a flash of light passed over her. He was pulled away by what looked like a tentacle, only it had shot up from the ground.
The view changed, and there was a brunette laying near her. Burns appeared to be at her neck, blood down her face, and her arm was bent back, clearly broken. She was covered by dirt, but Lauren could never make out clearly the details.
She coughed loudly, water swallowing her. Her eyes shot open, and two strong arms pulled her from the bath tub. Her nails dug into his arms as he pushed hair from her face. Sean had pulled her to the water in the washroom tub. He'd done it before, but never this long. He'd been frightened she might just stay asleep.
She coughed a few more times as he pressed his lips to her temple too many times to count.
"Lauren, are you alright?" he yelled at her, and through a quick nod of the head, she managed to look around and see clearly. She began to cry, having been terrified. Her nightmare had felt real, and this is how she knew it was a premonition.
