When: July 2nd, late afternoon
Where: MedTech, Tokyo Branch
there were voices all around her. they were muted, like her ears were filled with cotton, but they were still there. most of them were speaking in a language that she did not understand. her eyes felt heavy, like they would never open again. her body felt weak and she could swear it weighed a kilo and a half. even flexing her fingers was hard.
it took forever before she could even force her eyes open. when she did, everything was bright, white, and harsh. she groaned slightly, squeezing her eyes back shut. heaven couldn't be this bright. was this hell?
someone around her was talking in a language that sounded asian. chinese, maybe. she had no clue what they were saying out loud, and the voices she heard in her head were no less confusing, though she could at least comprehend what they were thinking. there seemed to be a lot of medical terms being tossed around, so she figured she must be in a hospital. there was talk of her talents, which didn't help anything. yep, she was in hell.
she forced her eyes open, and gave them time to adjust before she looked around. eyes all around the room turned to stare at her as she tried to sit up. it was then that she realized that her right leg was in a cast. after that, the events from that night came rushing back to her.
she shouldn't have run. he only chased her. she remembered the eyes. the terrifying, but strangely beautiful eyes. she remembered him coming towards her, his voice so loud in her head, and then everything went dark. she couldn't help but wonder how long she'd been laying there in that bed, people fluttering around her, doing god knows what.
finally, she turned to someone and spoke. "Where am I?" Of course, she asked in russian, and it became apparent to her that no one understood her. it was then that she started to panic, her heart fluttering madly. she let loose a panicked scream of terror. "WHERE AM I??!?!!?"
